At an altitude of 540 m on the southern of Pelion overlooking the Pagasitic Gulf is located Vizitsa. Vizitsa is a beautiful village which is characterized as a traditional settlement & protected area since 1980. When you arrive at Vizitsa you have to leave your car and explore the traditional village on foot. The stunning Church of Zoodochos Pigi stands out at the entrance of the village and from the charming square where the huge plane tree is you will be able to admire the amazing view.
In the area also you can find traditional restaurants with the authentic Greek gastronomy, local wine, tsipouro and coffee. Vizitsa is a model of Pelion architecture with picturesque mansions, cobbled streets and traditional built fountains.

If you’re traveling by car, take the appropriate route to approach Pelion, navigate towards Vizitsa. Drive towards the southern side of Pelion, overlooking the Pagasitic Gulf. The altitude of Vizitsa is approximately 540 meters above sea level.
As you approach Vizitsa, the landscape will become more mountainous and picturesque. Look for signs indicating the entrance to Vizitsa village.
Upon reaching Vizitsa, you’ll need to leave your vehicle behind. Parking areas are available at the outskirts of the village or in designated parking lots. Follow any signage or instructions provided.
Vizitsa is a traditional settlement and a protected area since 1980, so cars are typically not allowed within the village itself.
